Lauren Ashley (Miss Beverly Hills 2010) Opposes Same Sex Marriage
Carrie Prejean is not the only beauty queen open to express their opposition to same-sex marriage.
Miss Beverly Hills 2010 Lauren Ashley is also talking about the traditional wedding.
“The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman. In Genesis, says:” If a man lie with mankind, it lies with a woman, both of them have committed abomination. They will certainly be killed and their blood shall be to them. “The Bible is pretty black and white,” Ashley said to Pop Tarts.
“I feel like God created mankind, and he loves all, and he is the best for everyone. When he says that having sex with someone of their same-sex plans to bring death to you, this is a pretty stern warning, and he knows more than our lives. ”
Ashley is representing Miss Beverly Hills in California exhibition in November. His statements mirror a former Miss California Carrie Prejean answer to the question of same-sex marriage last year’s Miss USA competitions. At the time, Prejean said his response to challenge same-sex marriage, the value of his title.
But the Miss California Pageant still months away, and Ashley is already reflected in the opinions that Prejean got in trouble last year, he is worried that he might be in breach of its options for the tiara at home?
“This is not really a problem. I have many friends who are gay, and … I have many friends who have different views and we share their views with,” he said. “There is no hatred and I think anybody.”
And according to Miss California state director, Keith Lewis, competitor’s personal opinion should not affect the outcome.
“Miss California, the U.S. system has always been a place of human thoughts and opinions of all parties when it comes to political issues,” Lewis told Pop Tarts. “This is an organization that gives women, and everyone is entitled to their beliefs.”
And if Ashley has yet to meet Carrie Prejean, he is certainly a big fan.
“He is definitely a beautiful person and I love that she stood up, he believes in, I think it’s fantastic,” Ashley said. “Perez Hilton certainly overreacted a bit. He took it personally, and I’m sure he loves her as much as he loves everyone else.”
Ashley has their own personal training company Beverly Hills. Paris Hilton parties and although he he tries to draw a clear and nothing is too tough. He said that he intends to remain a virgin until her wedding night.
“I do not drink alcohol and I do not smoke weed or cigarettes. My definition of partying is a little different,” he said. “I feel like my body is a temple, and I think this is the temple of God so that it is a very good deal so well. I also think it was like sex marriage. You really show your future spouse, and you build more confidence than before married. You do not have sex with other people, so that would certainly trust, because you were expecting. ”
Pop Tarts has also just announced that Lewis, who was confronted with the gay marriage brouhaha last year, Prejean writes to tell-all book of the work under the title “The Man Behind Tiara.”
“It’s a gay man’s journey to overcome homophobia,” Lewis said. “I was from the Southern Baptist upbringing, I was Carrie from the camp. The whole thing made me realize that I had a deep-seated guilt about who I was. Ironically, Carrie Prejean made me feel like a gay.”
